 Thanks to the generosity of the Ottawa Senators, no one pays admission for part of opening day. The first 1,000 kids in the gate get coupons for a free Sen’s game as well as goodies. See how many players’ autographs you can get. It’s a great way to enjoy SUPEREX! |

| SALUTE TO VETERANS: |
THURSDAY, AUGUST 18 @ 6:00 pm |
 Join in as we cheer on the men and women, who as youngsters, much like the youth who enjoy SUPEREX, marched off to war as teens from Lansdowne Park. There will be a procession through the grounds followed by a ceremony at the SUPER Stage. SUPEREX will be officially opened by the veterans.
Enjoy the Brian Downey Big Band, the Ottawa Swing Club dancers in period costumes, period military equipment and re-enactors provided by the Swords and Ploughshares Museum, the Museum of Applied Military History and the Ontario Military Vehicle Association, OPP Constable Lyndon Slewidge singing “Oh Canada” and a opening with a bang!

| THE JOY OF FAITH CELEBRATION: |

 The Capital Region Interfaith Council is proud to present a unique celebration of faith at this year’s SUPEREX.
For the second consecutive year, the Capital Region Interfaith Council is producing a 90 minute concert for and by people of many faiths where common shared values are highlighted through music, songs and dances.
- Sunday August 21, 10:30 am to 12 noon.
- FREE ADMISSION to SUPEREX from 9:30 to 10:30am.

| 150th ANNIVERSARY TEA: |

 The women in the Homecraft area of the Pure Country Pavilion will be hosting a tea to celebrate the anniversary of the City of Ottawa. Tea and homemade cookies and squares will be served followed by the cake and a great big happy birthday to the nation’s capital. |

 There are some special activities lined up for Kids Day.
 The Midway: All Cartier Place Suite Hotel Kids World rides are reduced by one less coupon from noon until 6 pm on Kids Day.
SUPER REX’s Birthday Party: Join SUPER REX, our doggone dog, for his birthday party celebration in SUPER PET Petfest. The party is at 4 and 6 pm.
